I am sooo pleased to be writing about Winter Solstice. It is a wonderful celebration of welcoming the Light back into our lives. The Light never leaves us, and we hold a flame steady burning within always. Our inner sun will not damper. Scientifically, we will Witness the Sun back in our lives a few more minutes each day, until Summer Solstice. Despite the fact that winter begins, it is New Beginnings.I have definitely gone inward this past fall. As Talib Kweli says, "Reflection is a correction of memory." I have reviewed my life this past year. Introspective I say! I have decided to keep or give-away parts of myself that serve, or no longer serve me. What a process, for which I am grateful! I imagine I am a spool of thread each year, in which I wind up, then unravel. Wind and unravel.
I also imagine the Child of Light within us all returning. The Innocent One. The other inner son.
For my family, I think we shall make beeswax candles to celebrate the Light. We have so much to be thankful for. Not material "things". Love primarly. Humility! Imperfect perfectness! Experience!~as Jimmy Hendrix said. Freedom! Freedom from the war of the mind, that manifests into Peace.
I have nothing more to say, as God's silence in these times speaks volumes.
